About the event
We’ll begin with a short theory session covering the essentials of matcha: what it is, how it is made, how quality differs, what affects taste, and the key principles behind good preparation. We’ll also touch on the short history of matcha, its cultural background, and a few fun facts along the way.
This is followed by the hands-on part of the workshop. Each participant will have their own individual matcha station, with the tools needed to prepare and whisk matcha themselves.
You’ll be guided through the process step by step, with personal coaching to help you improve your whisking, texture and overall preparation. You’ll also create your own matcha latte using what you’ve learned.
Small bites will be served during the workshop.
